Why do you need soft water? Softened water will save you money over time. Hard water dries out skin and makes hair brittle. It causes soap scum in tubs and showers and spots on faucets and fixtures. It also causes scaling in appliances, which results in less efficiency and costly repairs. By softening the water you eliminate these issues. You will use less soap, increase the efficiency of your water heater, and save your appliances and fixtures from needing to be replaced so frequently.
